Standing in the front row, fourth from the left, is Silvia Felix of Switzerland who won gold in Cabinetmaking, the first woman to do so. Third from the right is Yvonne Brand, also of Switzerland, who took home the gold medal in Ladies’ Hairdressing.
Brand and Felix took part at the second contest to feature female competitors since the IVTO amended its rules in 1964 allowing women to compete. - Date
