Access Policy
Access policy
The WorldSkills Archive is dedicated to promoting transparency, open dialogue, and equity through free and open access to its collections. The WorldSkills Archive collections are available to everyone.
Accordingly, the WorldSkills Archive access policy follows the International Council of Archives Principles of Access to Archives, which advocate for the broadest possible access to archives by both public and private entities and for providing access on equal and fair terms.
Many documents and photographs in the WorldSkills Archive have been digitized to enhance accessibility. Additionally, photos of objects are included and links to visualize movies. Digitization priorities are determined based on preservation needs, user requests, and special projects. High-resolution versions of images can be requested.
When access to a physical item is needed, the WorldSkills Archive prioritizes preservation. Resources are only provided after carefully considering the impact on the item's condition.
Materials from the WorldSkills Archive may not be reproduced without specific written permission. To request permission to use materials in any publication, to digitize items, to make a use request, or to access a physical item, please contact us.
