Title: First IVTO Organizing Council
Description: First notice of this image is in WSI_2193, a scrapbook with memories from 1955-1967. Also was included in the 'WorldSkills History 1950' published in 2000. At that book the image is identified as a photo from 1954 but this is incorrect . We have another hard copy of this same photograph, donated by the family of Francisco Albert Vidal, and the date is clearly written on the reverse as 1963. (WSI_1923). The reverse also indicates that the photograph was taken by a Spanish photographer.
Michael Casserly identified the following numbered persons in the photograph:
1 - Eugenio López López, President of IVTO when this photograph was taken. The IVTO President in the 1957 was Jesús López Cancio.
2 - Micheal O'Flanagain, Irish Official Delegate (1956 to 1973)
3 - Richard Grimes, Irish Technical Delegate (1956 - 1963)
4 - Martin Gleeson, Chairman of the 1963 Competition Organising Committee.
5 - John Barry, Technical Director for the 1963 Competition
6 - Harry Hamer, Secretary of the Dutch Committee. Later he was the Dutch Technical Delegate and served as Chairman of the Technical Committee from 1971 to 1979
7 - Francisco Albert Vidal, IVTO Secretary.
