Selection of Republic of China postage stamps A bound book containing three sets of postage stamps issued by the Republic of China (Chinese Taipei) around the time of the 1993 competition in the city of Taipei. The book appears to be a souvenir of the event. The first set is four stamps in honour of the IVTC 1993 and described as Modern Technique Postage Stamps. They showcase apprentices in “Art Designing,” CNC machining, Carpentry and Electric Welding. The stamps went into circulation on 24 July 1993, shortly after the competition began. The other stamps are not linked to the competition, but celebrate local culture and faith. The second set depicts scenes from classical Chinese poetry about love, family and patriotism. The third is a tiny mural of a religious gathering known as a temple fair. -
