- Airbrushed car hood
- Description
-
This car hood (originally from Audi A1 Sportback) was airbrushed as an activity to engage the audience around the Car Painting skill competition area during the Spainskills 2022 National Competition.
The design, created by Pedro Urda, car painting VET teacher, is based on the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai. It was first sketched and perforated on paper, then transferred to the car hood. The students prepared the hood using a wet-on-wet technique, applying white water-based paint and varnish.
Eduardo Pérez, the graphic artist, handled the rest of the process. The design was transferred onto the hood using a pigment-based method. The airbrushing process began by mixing water-based colors, including red, yellow, blue, white, and black.
Shapes, contours, and silhouettes of the design were airbrushed, adding shading details. The final step involved airbrushing the letters for a complete finish. - Date
