Description: This 400 foot canister of silent black and white film was sent to Fred Hill by Spain. The date says 1954, but the address label records it being sent to Fred Hill MBE suggesting after 1963. The title of the film is "Voluntad de resurgimiento", the Will of Resurgance, a Francoist slogan used for the first Spanish national competitions. The film is likely around 10 minutes long, and possibly a promotional/propaganda film for the contest. A note (scanned and attached) suggests that an attempt to transfer the film to video was made in 1986, but that this was unsuccessful because it was "too dark." Digitlized in 2020
