Skills across the world
The documentary,17:49 minutes long (though the last 3 minutes entail no footage or audio) covers the Skills Across the World Projects in Zimbabwe and Liechtenstein in order to help transmit skills to the local inhabitants as well as immigrants in Liechtenstein who wish to bring their newly learnt trades back to their home nations, in 1998 and 1999. There are various interview segments, such as from Leonard Sibindi, the Makwe Primary School Principal, who describes the impact the organisation has had for building new facilities in their village and transmit the skills to the other inhabitants. Brown Dube, Lushonkwe School Development, describes how the former school had been shutdown hence why they sought help from SAW. The documentary entails several pieces of footage of the volunteers helping with construction, as well as local inhabitants as they are engaged in learning. Various more interviews continue, with SAW volunteers such as Dennis van Leenen. The documentary continues by then addressing the project in Liechtenstein, where immigrants from Kosovo have come to learn trade skills and build mobile homes which would temporarily be used by refugees, before being brought back to Kosovo. As the documentary approaches its end, several lists are displayed outlining the communities helped, facilities built, volunteer's names, and sponsors. -
