It carries the symbol of the Frente de Juventudes Officially this was the 6th Spanish national competition. Competitions were held at the Virgen de Paloma training school in Madrid, the leading vocational skills institute in Spain.

    Group photo of winners from the Spanish National Competition with Jose Antonio Elola-Olaso, head of the Frente de Juventudes. The winners have the trophies on their hands and are wearing competition overalls. Elola-Olaso is centre, the back row in uniform. All are male. The photo was taken outside "El Pardo" Royal Palace, Madrid. This photo would have been taken before the dismissal of Elola-Olaso as head of the Youth Front in 1955 but is likely several years earlier.

    A collection of nine small black and white photographs on a single sheet belonging to Fred Hill and showing life in Canterbury and his businesses, Douglas Alexander, and the Canterbury Craft Centre from 1949 to around 1953. Photos of Doug at work are on the bottom row, centre and far right. The building which housed the Craft Centre (first photo) is of interest. According to Canterbury Historical Society Burgate House was the first building to be completed in the city after the war, constructed on the site of a bomb crater, with funds from the people of Canada and opened in 1953 It is now a gift shop.
