Three sets of postmarked stamps, Munich 1973

Three sets of German stamps issued in 1973, the year competition was held in Munich with Circular Date Stamps indicating the city’s name, event, and date. The stamps are fixed to official letterhead. The postal markings also show the IVTO logo. The stamps are based on different themes - birds, environmental protection, and coats of arms - but they are not linked to the contest.

A playful cartoon of Fred Hill as a global traveller that appeared in "The News China Everning Post" on 1/06/1973 Hill undertook a tour of several Asian countries in 1973, including China, Japan and Korea, to spread the message of the international competitions. The top is saying it's a cartoon column by Taiwanese cartoonist Li Jingguang (nicknamed 牛哥 or Cow Brother).
