3D printed prosthetic arm

A prosthetic arm made in a 3D printing machine in a Spanish vocational school. The artificial limb was made for a nine-year-old girl named Conchi. Conchi was born with a malformation in her left arm and her world changed when she received an articulated prosthesis in pink and red, her favourite colours. It was the gift that Ramón and Fulgencio, two teachers from Orihuela (Spain), had made for her thanks to the "Enabling the Future" programme, a community of individuals from all over the world who are using their 3D printers to create 3D printed hands and arms for those in need of an upper limb assistive device. "I can hold things and write. The other day at school I picked up a pencil and started drawing lines." said Conchi when she received her prosthesis, with a smile that almost couldn’t fit on her face.

44th WorldSkills Competition, Abu Dhabi 2017 - Sneaker mould

A shoe mold belonging to Emeliina Papinniemi and inspired by her blue Nike sneakers. The shoe was part of the chocolate show piece in her fantastically original completed Test Project which won her a Gold medal in the Pâtisserie and Confectionery skill at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.

44th WorldSkills Competition, Abu Dhabi 2017 - Jewellery Test Project prototype

The graceful dome of the necklace pendant was inspired by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Designed by Steven Jinks, it assesses Competitors' sawing, soldering, and surface finishing skills. The actual pendant would have been made from 18 carat gold; Jinks made the prototype in silver.
